Bangladesh play England at Dhaka in the 1st Test of their history in 1997/8.
England are heavy favourites for this match and it would take a massive upset for an inexperienced Bangladesh side to win.
The home side will look to their spinners to provide the majority of their wickets on a pitch expected to suit them.
England are full strength for this one but are expected to make changes as the series progresses in order to give their players game time before their Test tour of India later in the season.
Pitch: 63 - This looks are poorly prepared track hardly fit to stage a one day game and certainly not a Test match. The pitch is hard and bumpy, promising all sorts of problems for the batsmen, and it is already showing signs of cracking. The fast bowlers will relish bowling on such a helpful surface but any further damage will produce a wicket on which all types of bowler will pose problems.
Day 1 Starting Pitch: 6A - Hard pitch with excessive bounce.
Day 1 Weather: 1 - Hot and humid.
